THREE simple steps for new students to get to know Loughborough as their new university town have been revealed by Sophie Hainsworth, of the LoyalFree app.

She said: “Moving to a new place can be daunting, especially trying to navigate your new home and find new networks of people, so here are the top three ways students can get to know the vibrant town of Loughborough.”

1. Get involved with the Student Union

Loughborough’s infamous Student’s Union is host to events, interesting societies and peer support. The Union (LSU) exists to ensure students have the best possible experience whilst studying in Loughborough, and also extends to the College.

LSU runs weekly events to cater to all students. In Loughborough this ranges from ‘Happy Mondays’, run in conjunction with the arts, to FND, a large student club night on Fridays.
