In it she recommended extra support for food banks as the hardest hit folk will be those who need these facilities most.

To this end, we, as a Church, have decided to have a table set up in the church during the month of November, so that anyone who so wishes, can contribute items to be donated to Josephs Storehouse in Loughborough for distribution during the Christmas period.

If you wish to join in with this effort, please bring along your contributions on Thursday or Saturday, or indeed to our service on Sundays, and we will be delighted to receive your gifts.

Our local pastor, Granville Mercy was our preacher on Sunday and his message was about our immortal, invisible God who encourages us to help others, love our neighbours as ourselves and do as much as we can.

Our DJ Martyn was on form with the cds and we do thank him for this service. Following our worship, as is usual now, we had refreshments and drinks and Debra, Granville’s wife, had brought along delicious homemade cake. Many thanks for this Debra, we do so enjoy your baking.

Mrs Karen Wormald is our preacher next week and we look forward to seeing her again. If you would care to join us our service commences at 10.30am and we would welcome you warmly.

On Saturday, November 2, it is our annual Gift Day and Granville will be pleased to receive your gifts. There will be various stalls and refreshments will be served.

We will open from 10am to 12noon and the school car park across the road will be open. We are so grateful to Redland School who allow us to use this facility.

Don’t forget, if you wish to book our premises for your event, phone Dave on 07706 205070 and he will be delighted to assist you in any way he can.
