Willoughby on the Wolds

PLAYGROUP. Places are available for pre-school children to attend the playgroup at Willoughby on the Wolds.

The playgroup is open from Monday to Thursday from 9.15 am until 3.45 pm

The baby and toddler group meet on Wednesdays from 10 am until 11.30 am during Nottinghamshire term times. The cost is £2 per adult and up to two children.

Sessions are held in the Village Hall on London Lane. Parents interested are asked to contact Kathy on 07482 062367 or at willoughbyplaygroup@hotmail.co.uk.

The playgroup was graded ‘good’ by OFSTED in its last inspection.

COMMUNITY PARK. Sports clubs and organisations are being encouraged to make use of the facilities at Willoughby Community Park.

Jeremy Rochfort of the Willoughby Community Park Association says they aim to encourage everyone to make use of the facilities as much as possible.

Sports clubs and organisations not based in the village are asked to donate £10 per visit to use the Willoughby park. Clubs wishing to use the park for training or matches are asked to contact Jeremy.Rochfort@belronuk.com.

The Willoughby Community Park Association annual general meeting is to be held on Tuesday, December 3 at 8 pm at Willoughby Village Hall and everybody is welcome.

HELP PLEA. Volunteers are wanted to work alongside the children at Willoughby on the Wolds Primary School.

Local volunteers with a few hours free each week can help in a variety of ways, including listening to readers, helping with gardening, work on arts and crafts, helping with projects and sharing their own expertise.
