THE EAR FOUNDATION KURLING EVENING. Do come along to this fun evening in Normanton on Soar Village Hall on Friday 25th October. Tickets are £10 each (£5 for children), including a light supper; and will be available from Brian & Sue Archbold (842341).
Numbers are limited to 48, so please book your tickets as soon as you can!
Proceeds are in aid of The Ear Foundation, which provides the free hearing clinics each month in Normanton on Soar Village Hall. The next clinic is Tuesday 12th November at 2pm.
TAIZÉ SERVICE. Please join us for a Taizé-style service at the beautiful church of St. James, Normanton on Soar on Tuesday 29th October at 6:30pm, led by Sue Archbold. This is a quiet contemplative service with lovely Taizé music, readings and prayers, and all are welcome.
LADIES WALKING GROUP.- On Tuesday 29th October, Normanton-on-Soar Ladies Walking Group will be meeting for a 4 mile walk around Staunton Harold with a pleasant stroll along permissive paths, along a stream and through woodland. Meet 9:30am at Sutton Bonington playing fields for car sharing or 10am at the starting point at Staunton Harold car park on Melbourne Road, LE65 1RU.

LONG ALLEY SKITTLES (NOSMA). On Wednesday 30th October Normanton on Soar Men’s Association will be returning to the Soar Bridge Inn, Barrow upon Soar for a fun evening of Long Alley Skittles. £10 per person includes Hot Supper. We need names in advance to book the meals, and a seat on the Soar Valley Bus.

KURLING. The annual Normanton-on-Soar Kurling Evening returns on Friday 8th November in The Hall, Normanton-on-Soar starting at 7 for 7.30pm. No experience is necessary, families are welcome and the price of £7.50 includes a fish and chip supper. Tickets are available for purchase from The Community Shop in Normanton-on -Soar. CHRISTMAS MEAL (NOSMA). - On 13th December Normanton on Soar Men’s Association will be having a three course Christmas meal, with coffee, at the Rushcliffe Golf Club.
This will be a private event for the Association, and not part of other festivities at the Club.
