Royal Oak DP set the pace in Division One

ROYAL Oak DP set the early pace in Blue Ball Division One of the Loughborou­gh and District Pubs & Clubs Darts League after their 7-2 win against the Rose and Crown AW last week, but last season’s champions Bottom Railway BA are hot on their heels just two points behind them after an 8-1 win against the Three Crowns Spookies.

The Bull and Bush Lions are third after their narrow 5-4 win against the Royal Oak Shooters and Dave Cox hit a hat-trick of maximums for Barrow Cons Wagg’s Gang as they beat the Three Nuns Bluemoon Foxes.

In Wanty’s Division Two both teams that came down from the top flight the Rose and Crown Exiles and Spot On Reds had close 5-4 wins against Fat Sam’s 26er’s and the Spot On Waifs and Strays respective­ly and they are now the only unbeaten sides left in the division.

In S H Cox Division Three, the Bull & Bush B beat the OEG 5&4’s 6-3 and they lead from Black Swan JS who beat the Beacon 5-4. Duane Etchells hit his second maximum in as many weeks for the Top Railway We’re Frit as they beat the Royal Oak Old Uns 6-3 and Eric Davis hit a maximum for Spot On Guys ‘n’ Gals in their 7-2 win against the Plough B.

In Generous Briton Division Four the top three all won for a second week. Dean Maxwell hit a maximum for the Fennel Street Clubbers as they beat the Tap and Clapper Rojo’s 6-3 and they lead from the Blue Ball Tenner’s who beat Crown GB and the Spot On Foxes who beat the Dewdrop Blues.

Finally in Jim Kidger Division Five, White Hart Stags beat Go Paget 7-2 and they lead the division with the Barrow Cons Convicts who beat the Red Lion Rams 6-3 in second place. The Plough Ernie’s are third after their excellent 8-1 win against the Three Nuns Bad Habits.
