ICE DREAMS

-

THERE’LL be a buzz about the Motorpoint Arena at the end of the month as Disney On Ice takes centre stage.

And fans of Toy Story 4 are in for an extra treat – this tour marks the first time a segment from the film will have been seen on ice anywhere in Europe.

“I have seen the film and I cried. It was so heartwarming,” says Tricia DeFelice, who takes up the role of Jessie from Toy Story 4 on the ice.

“So this is really exciting and the new Toy Story 4 segment is amazing. We were very excited as performers to introduce Bo Peep and Forky and expand our family.

“Toy Story has been around for so long and you’ve gotten to be a part of Andy’s life and now Bonnie’s life, and introducing all these new characters just turns it into a real fun family film.”

Bo Peep, played by Canadian Kate Gibson, added: “Bo has kind of undergone a transformation from the previous Bos we’ve seen. She takes off her skirt and wraps it around her neck and uses it as a cape. A kind of lost toy, she calls herself, but it’s really cool to play her.”

But as everyone knows, the whole Disney phenomena began with a mouse – so grab your Mickey ears and get ready for a celebration as this show celebrates 100 Years of Disney Magic.

Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic is Feld Entertainment’s largest ice production currently touring and sees Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse as the original hosts.

Other Disney classics featured include The Lion King and Beauty And The Beast, and for those awaiting Frozen 2 later this year, there’s a segment from the original for you to enjoy here too.

■ Disney On Ice comes to Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham from Wednesday, November 20, until Sunday, November 24. Tickets: motorpointarenanottingham.com, 0808 164 4616, from £20.16.
