New activities at community centre

-

ROSEBERY Community Centre in Loughborough has started a series of new diverse day time activities.

A spokesperson for the group told the Echo: “The centre on Storer Road has always been important in serving the local community in the Rosebery and Storer Road area.

“Over the years the demographic in the immediate vicinity of the community centre has changed from a neighbourhood with lots of families to a predominantly student population.

“As a consequence of this change the centre has lost some of its local community and family oriented activities like mums and toddler groups, Scouts, youth clubs.

“However, the centre still has over 20 different user group activities available throughout the week, catering for the broader Loughborough community area.

“To add to these user groups the centre has recently started a series of diverse day time activities. These new activities take place in the mornings or afternoons and everyone is very welcome to come and join in.”
