BETVICTOR NORTHERN PREMIER LEAGUE DIVISION ONE EAST LOUGHBOROUGH DYNAMO 1

BELPER TOWN 2

BELPER Town continued their unbeaten league run this season after defeating Loughborough Dynamo 2-1 at the ADT Stadium.

There was a feeling of despair around the ground as the full-time whistle went, with Moes fans knowing their team could have done more to hold on and extend their one goal lead.

Burrows opened the scoring for the Moes courtesy of a direct free kick in the 17th minute. The Dynamo midfielder saw his ambitious effort cannon in off of the far post and nestle into the back of the net - the perfect start for Dynamo.

As the first half filtered to a close, Belper had only created half chances. Dynamo would have known there was a long way to go but would have felt that gaining three points was very achievable.

The Moes biggest opportunity of the game fell to Fortnam-Tomlinson in the 53rd minute. The number nine really should have scored Dynamo’s second but his effort from just four yards out was saved by a thankful Ryan Musslewhite.

Belper equalised on the hour mark through George Milner. The number ten slotted the ball past Jason Alexander after a precise pass from Nathan Curtis.

Another goal line scramble almost saw the Moes regain their lead; however, Belper Town escaped yet again.

Missed opportunities like this created a feeling around the ADT Stadium, a feeling that it just wasn’t meant to be for Dynamo.

This feeling was fulfilled in the 85th minute, when Alex Peterson headed home to give Belper the three points they came for. The Belper number nine sprinted towards his manager in celebration, where he was met by a bundle of fellow players and coaches.

Next up for Dynamo they visit Carlton Town at the Bill Stokeld Stadium next Saturday (November 30).
