WHITE LION COFFEE

MORNING TOTAL The White Lion held a Coffee and Cake morning for Macmillan Cancer Support on Saturday, November 23, in its newly renovated and decorated function room.

Funds raised on the day amounted to £405.70

Jo Sibson Manageress Jo Sibson said: “Thanks to all the local support from villagers and customers who made Cakes for the event and to everyone who came along to support this very worthwhile cause.”

CHILDREN’S PARTY. Christmas events at Rempstone include a Christmas children’s party from 3pm until 5pm in the village hall on December 8.

REMPSTONE SHOW. After the success of this year’s village show in Rempstone, the date has already been set for next year’s show.

Next year the show will be on Sunday, September 13 and organisers are looking forward to welcoming even more exhibitors and visitors than this year. Details of classes for the show will be released in the spring of 2020.

This year was the fifth village show and the organisers say it was the best attendance ever, with wonderful weather and interestin­g exhibits.

Thanks have been expressed to everyone who contribute­d to the success of the event, either by supervisin­g stalls outside the village hall, organising and serving food,entering exhibits and acting as stewards.

VILLAGE HALL TEA AND GAMES. Join us for Tea & Games on Thursday December 5, from 2pm - 4pm. in the Village Hall

Our final Village Hall Coffee Morning of the year is on December 19, 1030-1200. The Rempstone Village Hall Christmas Raffle will be drawn at 11am

There is an evening of Christmas Songs and Carols on Tuesday December 17 from 7pm - 9pm in the Village Hall. Refreshmen­ts & Mulled Wine.

Make a note in your 2020 diary that there is a New Year Walk & Bacon Butty Bonanza on Sunday January 5, meeting at the Village Hall at 9.30am.
