Stuart Brady Labour

-

STUART Brady lives in Loughborough with his young family.

He has had a varied career, starting with state school then professional rugby for the Saracens. He then worked on climate and international trade policy, before becoming a barrister representing working people operating across the area.

He has campaigned for more resource for Loughborough Hospital, against the closure of Sure Start Centres, and for more police for the area.

Mr Brady said: “The key question for voters as they walk through our town and village centres, see boarded up shops, homeless people, and as they use an NHS that has record waiting times in accident emergency, is: after nine years of Tory rule, can we do better than this in the sixth largest economy in the world?

“Labour will give long overdue investment to our NHS, reverse school cuts, protect pensioners and WASPI (Women Against State

Pension Inequality), and start to invest in our area’s economy to create good jobs and affordable homes for local people.

“As Nicky Morgan has stood aside, voters will want to think about who can be a big figure in our communities to take over from her and push all parts of the constituency forward.” Mr Brady says he has a CV and the skills to suggest that he can be that figure.

“With the Liberal Democrats scoring under four per cent at the 2017 election in Loughborough, and the Greens even less, it is a straight fight between Labour and the Tories in Loughborough.”
