Bottom Railway BA win top of the table clash to open up 10 point lead over their nearest rivals

MARK Smith and Andy Hibbert both hit maximums for the Bottom Railway BA as they beat second place Royal Oak DP 8-1 to open up a 10 point lead at the top of Blue Ball Division One of the Loughborou­gh and District Pubs & Clubs Darts League.

As a result Barrow Cons Wagg’s Gang move up to second place after Daz Wagg hit a maximum and a 137 finish and Vern Seaton a 108 finish for them in their 7-2 win against Spot On Mandem. Kev Bryan hit a maximum for the Bull and Bush Lions as they beat Ring ‘o’ Bells SH 5-4 and they are now third with the Royal Oak DP slipping down to fourth.

In Wanty’s Division Two the top two both won 8-1, leaders Crown Rejects beat the Bell Foundry Blue Army and the Rose & Crown Exiles beat Fat Sam’s Tarts. Tim Hardy hit a 121 finish for the Spot On Waifs & Strays as they beat the Black Swan BWA 6-3 to move up to third and Spot On Reds are now fourth after they lost 5-4 to the Bull and Bush Laughing Boys. Bottom side the Three Nuns Albion won their first game of the season as Danny Sharpe’s second maximum in as many weeks helped them to a 6-3 win against Fat Sam’s 26er’s.

In S H Cox Division Three, Black Swan JS made it six wins from six as they continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 6-3 win against the Plough B. The Bull and Bush B beat the Royal Oak Old Uns 8-1 and they move up to second place ahead of the Spot On Guys ‘n’ Gals who lost 7-2 to Top Railway We’re Frit.

In Generous Briton Division Four Dave Marson hit his third maximum of the season for the Fennel Street Clubbers as they beat the Anchor, Hathern 6-3 and they now lead the division by three points from the Three Nuns Right Footers who lost 5-4 to the Crown Hotel.

Finally in Jim Kidger Division Five, Barrow Cons Convicts are the sixth team to lead the division this season after their 7-2 win against Bottom Railway CS. Four teams are on 50 points at the top but the ‘Convicts’ have a game in hand on their rivals, The Red Lion Rams, OEG
