BOXING DAY FUN RUNS. Following on the success of previous years’ Diseworth Boxing Day Fun Runs, another race is being organised this year.

The Friends of Diseworth School, Diseworth Village Hall, the Friends of Diseworth Church and the Heritage Centre are getting together to organise the event.

The organisers are hoping that even more runners will be involved, that some runners will wear ‘quirky and creative fancy dress’ and there will be an opportunity to socialise after the event.

Trophies and gift tokens will be awarded to the following competitors: first woman in the race, first man, first under 16 and best fancy dress.

Each runner’s registration fee is only £2, with under 16s fee being £1. All runners will be issued with a charity wristband when registering.

For spectators there will also be ‘a bucket collection’ for donations and this collection and all other proceeds from the fun run will support the four registered charities in the village.

There will also be a ‘super prize’ raffle sponsored locally with just 150 tickets to be sold at £5 each and to be drawn on the day of the race
