Bottom Railway BA extend lead at top of table

LEADERS Bottom Railway BA showed their class as they beat the Bull and Bush Lions 7-2 in the top of the table clash in Blue Ball Division One of the Loughborou­gh and District Pubs & Clubs Darts League.

Andy Hibbert hit two maximums and Chris Peat one and Ben Quenby hit a season high 160 finish for the leaders as they opened up a massive 25 point lead at the top of the division at the half way stage of the season.

The ‘Lions ‘ are joined in equal second place by the Royal Oak Shooters despite them losing 5-4 to Spot On Mandem with Barrow Cons Wagg’s Gang who also lost 5-4 third. Mitch Gregory hit his second maximum of the season for Ring ‘o’ Bells SH as they beat Royal Oak DP 7-2 to move to within five points of the second place teams with a game in hand, and the Rose and Crown AW beat the Three Nuns Bluemoon Foxes 5-4 at the bottom of the division.

In Wanty’s Division Two the Spot On Waifs & Strays beat Fat Sam’s Tart’s 8-1 to remain top, seven points clear of the Rose & Crown Exiles who beat the Bellfoundr­y Blue Army 7-2. John Thacker hit a maximum and son Ryan a 118 finish for the Black Swan BWA as they beat third place Crown Rejects and Danny Sharpe hit his third maximum of the season for the Three Nuns Albion as they beat the Bull and Bush Laughing Boys 6-3.

In S H Cox Division Three leaders Spot On Guys ‘n’ Gals beat the Old English Gentleman 5&4’s 6-3 and they are now five points clear of Black Swan JS who beat the Crown Hotel 5-4.

In Generous Briton Division Four the top game saw the leaders Fennel Street Clubbers beat second place Three Nuns Right Footers 8-1 to open up a fourteen point lead over the Windmill Wild Hearts who move up to second as a result of their 6-3 win against the Blue Ball Tenner’s.

Finally in Jim Kidger Division Five Paul Hopper hit a maximum for leaders Red Lion Rams in their 9-1 win against the Spot On Bombshells and Chris Dakin hit one for his second place Windmill CD side as they beat the Three Nuns Bad Habits 7-2. However the Barrow Cons Convicts are hot on both their heels after they came through a tough game with OEG Luffs 5-4 to remain unbeaten.
