VE PARTY IN THE PARK. As part of the VE Day 75th Anniversar­y Celebratio­ns in Diseworth in May, the Village Hall will be hosting a community ‘Party in the Park’

It will be like the party held for the Jubilee celebratio­ns and admission will be free.

‘All that Sass’ will perform songs from the 1940s and villagers are being encouraged to bring their own picnic or purchase an afternoon tea from Millie’s Vintage Travelling Teapot. A bar will also be provided and everybody is being encouraged to join in fun and games from yesteryear.

MURDER MYSTERY. Murder Mystery 1V in the best traditions of Agatha Christie and with a title inspired by Jane Austin will be presented at Diseworth Village Hall in March, 2020

The fourth outing of the very popular Diseworth Murder Mystery is called ‘Snide and Prejudiced’ and it will be presented in the

Village Hall on Friday, March,

27 and Saturday, March 28.

The play will have been scripted, produced and acted by Diseworth residents and the idea is to have fun while trying to work out with a team

Tickets are £20 per person to include a three- course meal. Doors will open at 7.15pm with the first act at 8 pm. The event will be used to raise funds for the Village Hall.

HOT SUPPER. Hot supper will be provided in St. Michael’s and All Angels Parish Church in Diseworth on

Friday this week, January 24.

The event will start at 7.30pm and will include a raffle.
