Bottom Railway BA extend their unbeaten record

CHRIS Wilson hit his fifth maximum of the season for the Royal Oak Shooters to take the lead in the race for the coveted ‘Most Maximums in Division One Trophy’ for the season, but it was the only highlight for his side as they lost 8-1 to leaders Bottom Railway BA in Blue Ball Division One of the Loughborou­gh and District Pubs & Clubs Darts League.

Andy Hibbert also hit a maximum his fourth of the season and Chris Peat hit two ton plus finishes for the leaders as they maintained their unbeaten record with a ninth straight win. Tony Spencer hit his third maximum this season for second place Bull and Bush Lions and Andy Wooldridge hit his second for the Rose and Crown AW in a game between the two won 8-1 by ‘the Lions’.

Two wins in a week for newly promoted Spot On Mandem, 7-2 in a re-arranged game against the Ring ‘o’ Bells SH, and an impressive 8-1 win against the Three Crowns Spookies sees them move up to fourth place a point behind the ‘Bells’ with another game still in hand.

In Wanty’s Division Two there are now only two points separating the top three teams. The Rose & Crown Exiles beat the Bull and Bush Laughing Boys 7-2 to return to the top of the division with previous leaders Spot On Waifs & Strays now second after they were beaten 8-1 by third place Crown Rejects.

In S H Cox Division Three Andy Hall hit a maximum for leaders Spot On Guys ‘n’ Gals as they beat second place Black Swan JS 7-2 who drop to fourth as a result. George Smith also hit a maximum for the Bull and Bush B as they beat the Top Railway We’re Frit 5-4 to move up to second place and the Beacon beat the OEG 5&4’s by the same score to move up to third.

In Generous Briton Division Four leaders Fennel Street Clubbers beat the Windmill Wild Hearts 7-2 in a top of the table clash to open up a twenty point lead over the Three Nuns Right Footers who move above the ‘Wild Hearts’ despite losing 5-4 to the Tap and Clapper Rojo’s.

Finally in Jim Kidger Division Five the Red Lion Rams beat the OEG Sambuca’s 7-2 to remain top with Windmill CD who also won 7-2 in second and the Barrow Cons Convicts maintained their 100% record with a 6-3 win against the Three Nuns Bad Habits. The full results for Thursday, January
