SOAR Valley Leisure Centre, run by Fusion Lifestyle on behalf of Charnwood District Council, has just been ranked highly in Sport England’s leading national quality scheme, ‘Quest’, and it joins South Charnwood and Loughborough Leisure Centres in the Charnwood contract in achieving “Excellent” status.

Quest is the best-known improvement programme within the leisure industry and the ranking, determined through mystery visits to the centre, comes hot on the heels of the centre’s recent ‘excellent’ rating, also as part of the Quest scheme.

The results position all three centres in the top 80 leisure centres nationwide.

Matt Smith, Business Manager at Fusion said “We are very proud to be recognised in this way. This is a fantastic achievement and a real team effort. Quest is much more than a tick-box exercise; it is an ongoing programme to improve our facilities for both staff and customers, and a great way to demonstrate our achievements”

Quest’s operations director, Caroline Constantine said: “Quest Plus is a step up from the entry level Quest and it is a more demanding process. By meeting Quest’s high standards for excellent centres, Soar Valley Leisure Centre, along with sistercentres Loughborough and South Charnwood, have shown their commitment to providing quality facilities and service to its customers.”

Soar Valley Leisure Centre features state-of-the-art sport and fitness facilities. As well as a swimming pool, there are four squash courts, outdoor floodlit astro turf pitch, a gym, exercise studios, sauna, steam room and crèche.
