Two exhibitions

-

A WIDE range of artworks, all painted by local artists, will be on sale to the public at two exhibitions organised by Charnwood Drawing and Painting Club.

The first exhibition is in the Charnwood Museum Cafe, Granby Street, Loughborough. This runs for two months from now until May 4. The second exhibition will take place at Woodhouse Eves Village Hall Annex in early June and more details of this will follow. As usual admission to these exhibitions is free and opening times are 10am-5pm.

Paul Lockton, club chair, told the Echo: “We are thrilled to be back at Charnwood Museum displaying our creativity, and of course at Woodhouse Eaves, where visitors will find an exceptional selection of paintings in water colour, oil and acrylics, all finished to a very high standard and modestly priced too.”

The club, which has around 40 members, has been established over 20 years and welcomes new painters of all abilities, from complete beginners to accomplished amateurs.

Next month the club, in partnership with the Loughborough General Hospital League of Friends, will renew its rolling exhibition at the hospital by augmenting it with new artworks which visitors can purchase raising funds for the League of Friends.

And on June 6 the club will be at the Picnic in the Park organised in Queen’s Park, Loughborough, by Charnwood Arts.

“2020 promises to be a very busy and fruitful year for the club,” said Paul.
