2020: RESCUE #1

THE world is still coming to terms with the loss of Tony Stark in the current miniseries Iron Man 2020.

And to run alongside that, a tie-in comic series, 2020: Rescue, will see Peppa Potts step out from Iron Man’s shadow.

Donning the suit of her own armoured superhero, Rescue, Peppa embarks on one final mission related to her former employer and friend.

Written by Dana Schwartz, with art by Jacen Burrows, 2020: Rescue #1 is out now priced £3.60.

THE LAST OF US

RUMOURS of a Last of Us movie have been circulating for as long as fans have been waiting for the game’s sequel to land.

But now news reaches us that a TV series based on Naughty Dog’s hit survival horror game is in the works at HBO.

The adaptation is reportedly being led by Craig Mazin, the man behind last year’s hugely successful Chernobyl series.

No director has been mooted, and there’s no firm date for production – so let’s hope this doesn’t phase out either.

IT SEEMS there’s no stopping Taika

Fresh from

Oscar success with JoJo Rabbit, and wrapping filming on The Suicide Squad, Next Goal Wins, and this summer’s Free Guy, Taika has been signed up for his next project.

The Thor director will turn his attention to two Roald Dahl series, one of which is an adaptation of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, and one that is “a wholly original take on the Oompa-Loompas”.

Taika is set to write and direct the animated series’, which will be streamed on Netflix in 2021.
