ANDY Hibbert hit a maximum and a 156 finish for leaders Bottom Railway BA as they beat Barrow Cons Wagg’s Gang 6-3 to secure a fourth successive Blue Ball Division One title in the Loughborou­gh and District Pubs & Clubs Darts League last week. Ben Quenby hit two maximums for the champions, his second brace in as many weeks, and Chris Peat also hit one with Malc Wagg replying with one for ‘Wagg’s Gang’. Second place Bull and Bush Lions beat third place Spot On Mandem 7-2 so the Royal Oak Shooters, who did not play, move to within five points of them with a game in hand.

In Wanty’s Division Two leaders Spot On Waifs & Strays are now only two points clear of the Rose & Crown Exiles after they claimed their game and ‘the Exiles‘ beat third place Crown Rejects 5-4.

In S H Cox Division Three the leaders Bull and Bush B lost 5-4 to bottom side Crown Hotel who move off the bottom as a result. However they remain top as second place Beacon also lost 5-4 to third place Spot On Guys ‘n’ Gals who are now only four points behind them.

In Generous Briton Division Four leaders Fennel Street Clubbers wrapped up the division in style with an 8-1 win against the Crown GB. Dewdrop Blues beat second place Three Nuns Right Footers 5-4 so the Tap and Clapper Rojo’s move to within a point of them with their 5-4 win against the Anchor. Finally in Jim Kidger Division Five the Barrow Convicts take over at the top of the division with a 9-0 double header win against Go Paget. The Red Lion Rams beat the OEG Luffs 5-4 and remain second with Windmill CD in third.

In light of recent Government advice all LDPCDL Thursday night dart fixtures have been cancelled for the foreseeabl­e future and the season put on hold. Can team captains please inform their public houses and all their players. Registrati­on for the forthcomin­g Summer League has also been cancelled until things get back to normal.
