Online Download Festival coming to homes in June
DOWNLOAD Festival, the UK’s premier rock event, will soon be staging a virtual festival.
Download TV comes to your living rooms available via Download’s social channels (including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube) for one weekend only, across June 12-14.
Not wanting to miss out on the best weekend in rock, Download TV will have three daily shows of two to three hours’ worth of music, special interviews, unseen performances, exclusive footage, and so much more.
The shows will be broadcast across the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, in the hope of recreating the weekend from the safety of your own homes.
Full line up will be announced soon and will very much be focussed on broadcasting performances and discussions from the incredible talent due to play Download Festival 2020.
Downloaders are encouraged to be as involved as ever, put tents up in the garden, erect your flags, send photos of previous years, air guitar to your favourite bands – this weekend is about you, the fans, and celebrating the Download community.
Download Festival recently demonstrated the force of the Download family with the release of a limited-edition charity t-shirt, which has raised an incredible £100,000 for NHS Charities Together to support NHS staff and volunteers.
Those tuning into Download TV will be encouraged to voluntarily donate to NHS Charities Together, over the weekend.
Download Festival would like to remind everyone to stay safe, stay home and save lives - practice safe social distancing and only host Download TV tent parties within your own household groups, do not encourage group gatherings.
