Town Hall staying closed this month
LOUGHBOROUGH Town Hall has confirmed that it will remain closed until at least the end of this month.
A statement by the venue said: “In light of the government’s updated advice on social distancing and proposed national plans for recovery, Loughborough Town Hall regrets to announce that we will remain closed until June 30, 2020, at the earliest. This will include all performances, events and public access to the Sock Gallery.
“The health and safety of our audiences and staff remain our primary concern at this time and as further guidance from the Government is released, we will continue to assess a suitable reopening date only when it is deemed safe to do so for all.
“Please keep checking back to our social media pages and website for all the latest updates.
“We are continuing to work with show producers and promoters to clarify individual show implications including possible performance rescheduling. Customers for any performances due to take place during our spring/summer season will be contacted to provide further instructions.
“Our box office team is beginning to work through the large number of customer enquiries relating to performance changes and we ask for your patience and understanding at this time. All customers affected will be contacted as promptly as possible.
“Please send any urgent enquiries or questions to box. office@charnwood.gov.uk , as our box office phone lines will not be open.
“We will only re-open Loughborough Town Hall once we can ensure customer and staff safety, in line with national guidelines.
“In response to customers asking us how to support us during this time, tickets for all future productions later in the year can still be booked online 24/7 through our website (www. loughboroughtownhall. co. uk). Alternatively, gift vouchers can be purchased online and can be redeemed at any future performance.
“We would like to thank our wonderful audiences for their continued support during this unprecedented time, alongside the many producers, promoters, artists, groups and organisations we work with for their understanding.
“We are incredibly grateful for all your kind words and we look forward to welcoming you through our doors to Loughborough Town Hall once we are back open to all.”
