Crime figures reported as ‘low’

CRIME incidents for the south of Rushcliffe South police area for May were low, figures released by the police show.

The figures cover the Leake division, (East Leake and West Leake), Soar Valley (Ratcliffe on Soar, Sutton Bonington, Zouch, Kingston on Soar, New Kingston), Gotham (Gotham, Barton in Fabis, Thrumpton), and Stanford (Stanford on Soar, Normanton on Soar, Bunny, Bradmore, Costock, Rempstone).

For East Leake there were four crimes, on the 2nd when overnight an unknown suspect entered a van by smashing the window parked on Costock Road, on the 8th overnight unknown suspects entered two cars parked on Angrave Road and also one parked on Woodroffe Way, on the 22nd when unnknown suspects caused damage to a down pipe on the sports pavilion on Costock Road. And on he same day unknown suspects forced entry through farm fencing and stole a horse trailer, which has been recovered in Leicesters­hire.

In Ratcliffe on Soar on May 12 an unknown suspect entered a property on Kegworth Road and stole cash from within while at Sutton Bonington over a two day period crooks stole a vibrating roller from the university site

At Barton in Fabis on May 7 overnight damage was caused to fencing along a bridle path.

On May 26 at Gotham around 5.30am a suspect gained entry to a property on St Lawrence Close and removed car keys and subsequent­ly the car from the address.

There were no crimes reported in West Leake, Zouch, Normanton on Soar, Stanford on Soar, Kingston on Soar, Rempstone, Bunny, New Kingston, Costock or Bunny.
