Dolcino keen to welcome people

-

ITALIAN coffee shop and gelateria, Dolcino, is getting ready to open its doors to the people of Loughborough.

After three months of lockdown and operations limited to a reduced takeout service, Dolcino’s owners are keen to welcome townsfolk back and reopen on Saturday, July 4, as a fully operating business, implementing the government’s safety guidelines.

The store has a new look, with new safety measures and a one-way system of queuing.

There will be spaced out tables and booths and a personalised table service for customers. Customers will enter and exit the store via a one-way system.

Staff will be observing social distancing rules, wearing PPE and there is a two-metre space between the counter staff and customers, with spaced markings on the floor. There will also be hand sanitiser stations upon entry to the store.

Dolcino’s managing director, Francesco Arcadio, said: “We would like to thank our guests and friends for the support to our family during these testing times. We are truly touched by the encouragement received and our gratitude goes to all those that showed understanding for our reduced menu and queuing set up.

“We will try our best to implement the new Government guidelines and re-open some seating areas to help our guests enjoy their coffee breaks and food in store from Saturday, July 4.

“It may be slower than usual, and we may find new challenges than we expect, but I would like to say that we appreciate the patient efforts of our customers to allow us to adapt.”
