Dynamo strengthening squad for new campaign
Two new faces added by boss Attenborough
LOUGHBOROUGH Dynamo have strengthened their squad ahead of their next campaign with two new signings jolning six of last year’s squad who have pledged their future to the club.
The first signing is highly rated forward Evan Garnett who has signed from Stafford Rangers. The 25-year-old came through the Burton Albion academy and has since played for teams including Worksop, Belper and Kidderminster Harriers in the Conference.
Dynamo boss Lee Attenborough said: “Evan is a massive signing for the club and to finally get him to the club is fantastic. I am delighted he’s signed and I look forward to providing him with a platform that will hopefully get the best out of him.”
The second signing is ex-Gresley and Belper Town man Dominic Allen.
After being released by Burton Albion in 2012, Allen joined Mickleover Sports for his first spell outside of the professional game. Following a short stint on Stadium Road, he signed for Borrowash Victoria, before making the move to Eastwood Town.
Spells at Stafford Rangers and Rocester followed, before stints at Long Eaton, Belper and a short stint at Gresley.
Attenborough said: “Dom is at a good age and is a very versatile player who is comfortable all across the midfield and can also do a solid job in both full back areas.
“He’s had good experience over the last four or five years at this level with Belper and Gresley and it is great for us that we can bring in another player with quality, all the right personal traits but also experience at this level.”
It follows the news that Luke Thorogood, Carl Sibson, Danny Gordon Curtis Burrows, Karl Demidh and Jason Alexander are to stay at the club after agreeing terms to stay at the ADT Stadium.
