Quorn’s goal machine signs new deal to stay at club for next season

-

QUORN FC goal machine Steven Hart has signed a new one-year deal to stay with the club next season.

The United Counties League side secured the striker’s signature despite several offers from other clubs.

Hart, who has scored 90 goals over the past two seasons, said he was delighted to be staying at the Farley Way stadium.

“I am delighted to be staying with Quorn. I love it here and working with all the lads. We have some fantastic players here and we certainly showed that we are a very good side last season.

“Finishing the season when it did, top of the table, we were very confident we would have achieved promotion. There are great people who work very hard behind the scenes to ensure we are well resourced and provide a top class place to play our football. I am just glad I can still work alongside them next season.

“With Cleveland also joining us in the summer, I am sure we will have a lot to offer next season and I just want to help the club finish the job we started and aim for promotion whenever we can safely resume football.”

Quorn FC chairman Stuart turner said he was pleased that the centre forward was staying.

“Harty is top class and has proven that over the last two seasons, scoring 90 goals in the United Counties League and Midland Football League.

“It was important for me and a good bit of business for the club whilst we are not playing football to get as many of our side signed on from last season, so we can focus on progressing under Cleveland’s management team and give him a fantastic squad to work with.

“Harty knows where the onion bag is and we have got ourselves a great striker for a further year.”
