New garden bar and eatery...

A NEW garden bar and eatery has launched in Loughborou­gh - giving guests the chance to enjoy a drink or a meal whilst taking in a unique view.

The Steam Garden is being launched in the garden of The Cedars Hotel in Cedar Road, and overlooks the Great Central Railway line - the UK’s only double track, main line heritage railway.

It can seat up to 40 people, with furniture spaced out to allow for social distancing.

Access to the garden is from the side of the hotel there will be a oneway system in operation for guests ordering at the bar inside the hotel.

The hotel itself is now fully open, with extra precaution­ary safety measures in place, including PPE for staff, hand sanitisati­on stands, and custom-built integrated Covid screens at the reception and the bar.

Guests visiting The Steam Garden will be able to choose from a wide range of dishes on the menu.

There’s snacks including classic sticky bbq ribs, tempura king prawns and halloumi fries, and burgers such as the Hot Mexican Bad Boy, Garlic Mushrooms and Swiss, and the Plant-Based Bazinga Burger.

Stonebaked pizzas are available, with varieties including Lebanesest­yle chicken, vegan chilli and jalapeno and vegetable, and their wraps with fillings such as rich beef chilli and lightly-spiced chicken.

Desserts include chocolate caramel dream jar, New York mixed berry love jar, and caramel Biscoffboc­ker glory.

The Steam Garden will be open every day from noon until 9pm.
