WI - NORMANTON ON SOAR. We have not been able to hold any meetings since March but members have been kept up to date with what is happening via emails from the committee.

We have been enjoying successful zoom quizzes and another will be organised for September. Our first meeting at the hall in October is currently being planned and will use all guidelines and selfdistan­cing measures.

Let’s hope we all keep well and meet up in October. For more informatio­n, please contact Sue James (673460).

LUNCH CLUB. “Hello everyone, sorry I’ve not got any good news for you at all. We’ve had to cancel our planned boat trip as you already know but it’s now rebooked for next August so we have something to look forward to.

“Although the village hall is now open again, until guidelines change, there is no chance for us to be able to meet for our usual lunch. I hope that we might be able to meet in our group and have a really big Christmas celebratio­n.

ST JAMES’ CHURCH ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting is normally held in April/May but with the lockdown, we have been unable to hold it. That means that existing officers have continued their duties for the time being.

With lockdown measures easing, we plan to hold the annual meeting on Sunday 6th September immediatel­y after the church service (at approximat­ely 10:15am).
