-

DONINGTON PARK has unveiled how the new lockdown will affect parts of its business.

A spokesman said: “On Saturday evening, he Prime Minister announced that significant national restrictions will be introduced from Thursday for a period of four weeks, to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

“Since the announcement, the government has published detailed guidance on these various measures and Motorsport UK, the governing body for four-wheel racing, has clarified what this means for competitive motorsport.

“We can now provide the following information on how our various business areas will be impacted during this period:

“Event tickets/season passes: All non-elite motorsport has been suspended until December 2 and those event permits have been withdrawn by Motorsport UK.

“Trackdays Car and Bike trackdays will not take place from Thursday, November 5 until Wednesday, December 2 (inclusive).

“If you were booked on to an MSV Trackday (MSVT) event that will not take place, please note a full credit for the booking will be automatically applied to your MSVT account. Given the extraordinary circumstances, credits will have an extended 12-month validity from your original cancelled trackday date(s). The credits are transferable to another name. The credits can be redeemed against any listed MSVT date and can be viewed by logging into your MSVT account.

“If you were booked on to another operator’s event (e.g. Javelin Trackdays) please visit the organiser’s website for more information.

“Car Testing: Exclusive and semiexclusive testing involving professional race teams will go ahead as planned, as will testing ahead of Elite motorsport events. ‘General’ testing will be suspended from Thursday November 5 until Wednesday, December 2 (inclusive).

“Driving Experiences: All MSV driving experiences (Race Master, Young Drive! etc.) will be postponed until at least December 3. Everyone who is booked to attend an MSV driving experience up to and including this date will be able to book a replacement activity in due course. Any vouchers that are due to expire will automatically remain valid until three months after driving experiences resume operating.

“If you were booked on to another operator’s event (e.g. Everyman Racing) please visit the organiser’s website for more information.”
