BOND LANE. On Thursday (February 4), walkers were upset to come across a fly-tipped pile of kitchen waste halfway along Bond Lane.

Luckily, as the walkers moved on, Kirk, a Serco worker arrived and was starting to sort through and clear this unwelcome mess.

During the current Covid-19 restrictions the Bond Lane / Cufflins Pit Lane area has become popular with local walkers enjoying these quiet lanes for daily exercise.

HALF-MAST FLAGS. Following the sad death of Captain Sir Tom Moore, flags at the Memorial Centre and outside the Parish Rooms were flown at half-mast.
