CHARITIES. Rushcliffe Borough Mayor Coun Sue Mallender, recognising currently how difficult a time it is financially for so many residents, says she still hopes many can still look to support local charities wherever possible.

Coun Mallender, is supporting three local charities this year in her civic role to help support their vital work during the pandemic.

This year’s charities are Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, Musicworks and Trent Responders, who are all active in communities across Rushcliffe and working to better residents’ lifestyles, health and environment through their work.

The Mayor says it is possible to find out more on their work of the three organisations at Trent District Commnuity First Responders, Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, and Music Works respectively.

Coun Mallender added: “These charities work to provide life-saving care, protect our environment and offer essential mental health support during an incredibly challenging period that has seen us place even greater value on these efforts.

“Primarily operated by volunteers and committed members of our local communities, each charity helps to enrich life in Rushcliffe and ensure this remains a great place to live and work.

“Please spare some time to visit their websites and find out more about the amazing work these people do and support them however you can.”

As the ‘first citizen’ of the Borough the Mayor will virtually or safely attend many official engagements during her term of office this year.
