School joins academy trust

-

Staff and pupils from a Rearsby primary school have celebrated this month after joining local Christian multi-academy trust, Rise.

St Michael and All Angels CE Primary School joined the trust in April and have been described as a welcome addition to the community.

Mark Cole, CEO of Rise Multi-Academy Trust, said: “We would like to give a very warm welcome to everyone at St Michael’s.

“With our shared Christian values and an unwavering commitment to providing the best for every pupil, we look forward to working in partnership with colleagues, sharing ideas, best practice, and getting to know the children and their families over the coming months.” A close-knit family of 13 Church of England primary schools across Leicestershire, every school in Rise Multi-Academy Trust is graded ‘Good’ or better by Ofsted.

The trust said it prides itself on bringing together schools with a like-minded Christian ethos and has a commitment to providing the best possible opportunities for every child to flourish and succeed.

Neil Bardsley, Headteacher at St Michael and All Angels CE Primary School, said: “At St Michael’s we are committed to knowing and developing the whole child - not just academically, but also morally, creatively, and spiritually.

“We want children to leave St Michael’s not only with an excellent education and a thirst for knowledge, but also having the confidence to believe in their own abilities and to build solid foundations for their future education.” Neil said they are thrilled that the next stage on the school’s journey has begun with Rise Multi-Academy Trust, and he believes it will bring benefits for the school community.
