Shepshed’s batting in pursuit of their total didn’t go to plan after losing Kenneth early but Chris Gibson scored 39 and Mark Bonam backed him up with 20, but it was not Shepshed’s day as Shepshed were bowled out for 131 to give Bardon a 60 run victory.

In reply Barwell did not hang around as they finished on 78-1 in only 16 Overs to win the match by nine wickets.

Shepshed’s 4th team were at home with a local derby against Hathern 2nd XI but the game will be remembered because it was the first outing in the same team for Dad and Daughter Duncan and Amber Bottrill.

Shepshed got of to a great start with both openers hitting the ball to all parts of Pudding Bag Lane with Duncan Bottrill top scoring with 59 along with Andy Shilliam who scored 50 the pair putting on over 100 for the first wicket.

Despite the loss it was a day to remember for Amber and Duncan memorable enough for playing together in the same team for the first time but both of them rounded the day off as they both came out on top Duncan with the bat and Amber with the ball rounding off an absolutely perfect day for them both.
