POLICE have released a picture of a woman whose body was found in Charnwood on Sunday.

After inquiries led by Warwickshire Police, a search took place in Leicestershire.
Investigative work by officers led to a 29-year-old man from Coalville being arrested on suspicion of Megan’s murder. He remains in custody and has since been further arrested on suspicion of rape
In a statement, Megan’s family said: “There are no words to describe how much we as a family
are completely heartbroken and devastated. Megan was the most generous, loving and caring person and we have been robbed of our treasured daughter.
“We are grateful for the support we have received so far but ask that we are allowed to grieve in peace.”
On Monday, an appeal was made for anyone who saw a white Citroen C3 travelling between Coalville and Loughborough to come forward and detectives are still asking for anyone who thinks they can help – but has not yet come forward – to do so.
Detective Inspector Kenny Henry – from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit, said: “My deepest condolences are with Megan’s family.
“We’re continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding Megan’s death and I am still appealing for public help to piece together the information we already have.”
