SHEPSHED’S 1st XI were away at Billesdon and it was Shepshed who won the toss and decided to field and after a rain delay that reduced the game to 36 overs per side, Billesdon scored 247-7 with Miles top scoring with 83 and Elliott who scored 50.

The pick of the Shepshed bowlers were Ben Clarke who took three wickets and Adam Clapton and Parv Agarwil both taking two wickets apiece.

Shepshed in reply lost three early wickets but Sam Smith came to the crease and smashed it to all parts of Coplow Lane as he scored a fine 77 along with last week’s batting hero Jake Lister who carried on where he left off from last week scoring 47.

Shepshed had an absolute disaster when they batted as they were bowled out forjust 40 in just 20.2 overs to lose by a massive 132 runs.

Shepshed’s 4th XI were at home against top of the table Braunstone Stars 1st XI, giving a debut to 13-year-old Abbie Bradshaw, the third female cricketer to play for the team this season.
