Ingles and Aylestone Park share the spoils under the Dovecote lights

UCL DIVISION ONE INGLES 1 AYLESTONE PARK 1

INGLES and Aylestone Park battled out a pulsating 1-1 draw at the Dovecote on Tuesday.

The game started with both sides looking to control the ball and push forward but it was Ingles who had the first chance from a corner. A deep cross from Rawson found captain Boulter at the back post but his header went just over the bar. Five minutes another Rawson corner was bundled of the line by Aylestone and left Ingles unlucky not to take the lead.

Aylestone thought they had scored when a cross from the right found Tansley who finished only to find the offside flag had been raised. Just before half time Aylestone should have taken the lead after a Tom Hill header hit the bar and the rebound was bundled away by Boulter.

As expected Aylestone started the second half strongly and on 70 minutes Aylestone found the opening goal. Abou, who was excellent all game, had one lapse in concentration and lost the ball in a dangerous position. This allowed the Aylestone striker in and he slotted the ball under Webb. In past seasons this would have seen the end to

Ingles challenge but Ingles responded excellently and began attacking Aylestone.

Yousuf was released down the right and pulled the ball back to Ryan Hardy, his first time cross was met by Clarke and his header flew into the top corner leaving the keeper no chance.

This left about 10 minutes to go with both sides looking for a winner but in the end it was honours even and a point apiece.
