Young winger signs for Loughborough Dynamo
LOUGHBOROUGH Dynamo have announced the signing of winger Sacha Markelic for the remainder of the season.
The exciting midfielder joins the Moes from Kimberley Miners Welfare FC who are members of the United Counties League Division One.
Sacha is a young pacy winger who is able to play on either the left or the right side of midfield.
Markelic becomes Dynamo’s 5th signing of the season joining defender Michael Jacklin, midfielder Kevin Bastos, and strikers Ryan Nesbitt and Courey Grantham in signing for the Moes.
Sacha has been in good form for KMWFC so far this season, managing to net once against Gedling Miners Welfare FC and twice against Graham St Prims.
On the signing of Sacha Markelic, Dynamo manager Lee Attenborough said: “I am delighted to welcome Sacha to the club. He’s an exciting young winger who can play off either flank. He’s got plenty of skill, pace, and work rate to match.
“As always, at this club it’s our priority to get out and watch games at lower levels as there are a lot of hidden gems about with tons of ability and potential.
“I’ve watched Sacha several times over recent years and he’s always caught my eye with his ability to beat a man and his eye for a pass.
“I most recently watched him last Tuesday away at Belper United and he stood out to me as the best player on the pitch by a distance and I felt it was the right time to make a move.
“His ability is there for all to see, but what impressed me most was his hunger to work hard for the team off the ball and contribute in all aspects of the game – something which myself and Brad always demand from the players here.
“I love giving young lads a chance to prove themselves at a higher level and I’ve got high hopes that Sacha will follow in the footsteps of the likes of Josh Riley, Jack Smith, Tristan Matthews, Charlie Young and Jake Finnerty to name but a few who in recent years have all come from step 5 or 6 clubs and made themselves into first team regulars.
