Molly’s Gift is ready to award a second round of grants...
A TRUST set up in memory of Loughborough Foxes footballer Molly Webb, who died from sepsis in 2019 at the age of 25, is inviting applications for its second wave of grants.
‘Molly’s Gift’ was created in August 2019 by Molly’s partner Emily Sharpe and Molly’s close friend Leandra Whelband, and is designed to provide funding opportunities for youth development in sport, particularly for disadvantaged children; something that was very close to Molly’s heart.
A total of 17 grants totalling £4,500 were awarded last year and now the trust is hoping to award a series of grants in time for Christmas. The deadline for applications is Friday, December 3.
Emily Sharpe said: “We hope that each approved grant enables youngsters from all walks of life to further pursue their sporting talent and participation. Whether this be through one off activities, to purchase equipment or pay for facilities. Ultimately, funds can support local youth sports clubs, primary schools or community projects to simply support a young person to smile through sport.”
Grants up to £500 are available for people living in Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland
Applicants need to to reach at least one of the below outcomes:
