Calendar puts park in the frame all for good causes
BRADGATE Park and Bradgate Rotary Club have collaborated with local Leicestershire photographers to create a stunning calendar which is on sale this month.
The calendar features 12 breathtaking photographs of the historic country park’s wildlife, renowned deer, and its surrounding charming countryside.
Many Leicestershire charities and communities, which Bradgate Rotary Club supports, have been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic and this project is an important step in raising charitable funds which will contribute to supporting the most vulnerable groups in our county.
Nick Rushton, Chair of Bradgate Park Trust, said: “Many people have pulled together to make this calendar possible. It’s a great opportunity to celebrate the beauty of Bradgate, give back to the local community and invest in the park’s future.”
In addition to helping support
LOROS and Leicestershire Children’s Holidays in 2020 and Baby Basics and Heartwize in 2021, the sale of this calendar will go towards caring for Bradgate Park and ensuring it will always be an important landmark of natural beauty and historic value.
Director of Bradgate Park, James Dymond, said: “The pictures that the local photographers have taken show Bradgate Park at its finest. This calendar is an exciting collaboration and a great way to be able to see the park in all seasons, from the comfort of your own home.”
The images feature the iconic deer, Old John Tower and many more staples of the park with its picturesque landscape. Brian Rigby, longstanding Bradgate Rotary Club Member, said: “We want to help Leicestershire charities rebuild and ensure they have the resources to empower and improve their services for those who need it most, especially in these uncertain times.
That’s why we’ve partnered with Bradgate Park to showcase the beautiful place it is and raise money at the same time.”
The calendars are the first to launch in a wider range of gifts and keepsakes, including Christmas cards, which will be available later this year.
The Bradgate Calendar 2022 is on sale now at www. bradgatepark. org/ bradgate-calendars for £6 (+£1 p&p) or visitors can purchase copies at Bradgate Park’s Tea rooms or Visitor Centre.
