The Bottom Railway BA back on top

THE final Loughborou­gh Pubs and Clubs District Darts League games of 2021 were played Thursday evening with a change at the top in Division 1 and a stand alone leader in Division 2. The disappoint­ment was how few games were played.

In the Bull and Bush Division 1 The Bottom Railway BA made it 9-0 wins back to back away at the Spot on Waifs and Strays it maintains their 100 percent record and take over at the top of the table by one point.

They have a game in hand over the Bull and Bush Lions who have held the lead in the league for a majority of the season. They beat Mick the Flicks Three Crowns Barrow 7-2 with Dave Sloan and Tony Spencer hitting a maximum for the Lions.

The only other game in the division saw Ring ‘O’Bells LH beat the Royal Oak Shooters 6-3, Steve Hopkins hitting a 180.

Only two games were played in the Spot on Division 2. The Plough Thorpe Acre remain unbeaten with a 5-4 away win over the Spot on Guys and Gals. Jamie Thompson with a maximum for the Plough.

They are now eight points clear of the Windmill Blue Army who beat the Riddled with Dartitis Top Railway 6-3. The Three Nuns Bluemoon Foxes are a further point behind still unbeaten with two games in hand.

Only one game was played In the Three Nuns Division 3 with Black Swan JS beating the Generous Briton Beerlegs 5-4.

There was also no change in the Generous Briton Division 4 with only two games Barrow Cons Discombula­ted lost 7-2 at home to The Boat Inn and Hathern Club beat the Three Nuns Bad Habits 8-1

The second round of the Knockout Cup and the first round of the Plate were drawn Thursday night and can be found on the website due to be played Thursday, January 6.
