Seven up for Pro Chance Academy at Farley Way

-

IN the Everards Brewery Premier Division, ProChance Football Academy welcomed Sileby Town, and won 7-3 at Farley Way, with Tyrell Haughton scoring four, alongside Charlie Tiley, Stan Gurney, and sub Brad Gibson in injury time, Charlie Patel, Ben Rybicki and Grant Ryder scoring for Sileby.

Meanwhile, Harry Jarvis scored twice in the first half for Desford at home to Ellistown, and by the time the hour mark came round, Desford looked well-set. That was before a crazy final quarter that saw the two sides share six goals and share the spoils in a 4-4 draw.

In Everards Brewery Division One, two of the top four were sidelined by the weather, as Burbage Old Boys’ game at home to Sporting Markfield, plus leaders Kirby Muxloe Reserves’ trip to Ingles Reserves were called off.

At the bottom, Loughborough FC stay bottom. They weren’t in action, but nearest rivals for the trapdoor Barlestone St Giles lost 2-0 at Earl Shilton Albion, as Conor Beasley scored a goal in each half.

riar Lane & Epworth Reserves also look vulnerable now, particularly if both Barlestone and Loughborough can turn games in hand into points. The Lane’s Reserves lost 5-2 at home to Barrow Town Reserves, for whom Marc Schulz scored a hat-trick before half-time, along with Jamil Chowdhury in the first period, whilst Brooklyn Ndakwa and Stefan Whyte scored for FLAE before the oranges. Sub Kane Clarke rounded off the scoring for Barrow in the second half.

In Everards Brewery Division Two second-placed Aylestone Park Reserves lost 2-1 away to Sileby Town Reserves. Veteran striker Joe Hetterley scored both of Sileby’s goals in the first half, and despite Elliott Wells scoring for the Park in the second half, Sileby hung on for the win.

Rugby Borough Reserves, meanwhile, would have been looking to put themselves back in the promotion race, but Rothley Imperial held them to a 5-5 draw at Kilsby Lane, the scores having been 3-3 at half-time. The hardy spectators who braved the rain in Warwickshire were obviously spoiled on top of their Christmas pudding... scorers were Charlie Whiteside (2), Tugay Yagmur (2) and Josh Turton for Rugby, and for Rothley, Zak Ginvert continued a vein of form scoring four goals for the second game in succession with Emilio Chiavetta netting Imperial’s other goal.
