Winter season concludes with Bottom Railway DS undefeated

THIS Thursday sees the conclusion of the Spot on sponsored Loughborou­gh & District Pubs and Clubs Darts League Winter season.

Over the past few weeks the six divisions were decided. The Bottom Railway DS remained unbeaten and claimed the Bull and Bush Division One with a 6-3 victory at Maxwell’s LH. Steve Hopkins with a 180 for Maxwell’s.

The league was won by 29 points with The Shooters marching into second on the last game of the season with a 9-0 win at W Anchor S. Barrow Cons Club Waggs Gang claimed third with a 6-3 win at the Bull and Bush Laughing Boys and Barrow Cons Club Mick the Flicks beat Bull and Bush Lions 5-4.

In a close end to Division Two Spots on Reds claimed the title with a 9-0 win at The Crown. Grant Brown with a 180. for the Reds. Fat Sam Exiles finished runners up despite losing 6-3 to Three Nuns Blue Army with Bush Rejects finishing third.

Leading the Three Nuns Division Three the Three Nuns Bluemoon Foxes were crowned champions, The Oak Nomads finished second with a 6-3 win at Barrow Cons Club Double Trouble and The Bulls finished third.

In the Diamond Logistics Division Four the points difference was quite close. Despite a 7-2 win over Greenfield Wildcats it wasn’t enough to stop the Wildcats from winning the league by three points. Peacock A-Team finished third a further point behind beaten From Top to Bottom 5-4. Duane Etchells with a 180 for the Bottom. The other game in the division saw Spot on No Stars beat Tap & Clapper Libertines 5-4. Tom James with a 180 for the No Stars

The MOT First Division Five went into extra time after second place Bull and Bush County beat leaders Three Nuns No Habits 6-3. Needing to beat Three Nuns No Traitors by seven legs the No Habits were crowned champions as County could only win 5-4 to finish second. Projectile Disfunctio­n claimed third despite a 6-3 defeat to the B-Team. Three Crowns beat Sexy and we Throw it 5-4 and the No Traitors beat White Hart Stags by the same score.

Division Six finished the tightest with the Barrow Cons Club Discombobu­lated and The SH Anchor S both finishing on 117 points. Discombobu­lated who lost to Crown Inn Glory won the league on count back with the SH Anchor S winning 8-1 at The Survivors. Jolly Darters finished third with a 5-4 win at The Fireballs and No Bulls hit beat The Boating Boyz 5-4

The three pairs competitio­ns took place at the Spot on with Ant and Rich Greasley of Maxwell’s LH beating Ben Quenby in the Division One and Two final. Tom and Rob Wild of the Greenfield Wildcats claimed the Division Three and Four trophy and Tom Jobhorn and Andy Rose of The Three Nuns No Habits beat Kev Gibson and Mick Towell of the Bull and Bush County to win The Division Five and Six crown.

This Thursday sees the three knockout cup finals, the 180 throw off and presentati­on night everyone is welcome to join us at the Spot on. The finals start at 8pm.

The Summer Season will then start Thursday April 25 and the fixtures are already available on the leagues website.
