Owner’s delight as happy parents give nursery thumbs up in online awards

-

A NURSERY has been named as one of the UK’s best.

Macclesfield’s Scamps Nursery has been ranked in the top 10 on daynurseries.co.uk based on recommendations and reviews from parents and guardians that have used the nursery.

The annual awards, which are run by the industry website and online directory, recognised Scamps as the highest rated day nursery in Cheshire and one of the top ten best in the country out of 11,507 others.

The awards are based on more than 12,818 recommendations received during 2013/14.

Davina Ludlow, director of daynurseries.co.uk, said: “We felt the best people to rate a day nursery were the people who really know its ins and outs; the parents, relatives and guardians of the children who attend.

“Scamps day nursery has proved that it is an excellent childcare setting and we’d like to congratulate them on being a top recommended nursery.”

The accolade is another feather in the nursery’s cap, as well as being rated as ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted and being selected by Cheshire East Council as a beacon for language development. Scamps was taken over by John Sutton and Deborah Baines in 2011 and provides early years care for 98 children, employing 25 people at its South Park site on Poplar Road.

Deborah Baines said: “This is excellent news and an achievement we’re really proud of. We believe strongly in providing children with the very best start in life and that has always been central to everything we do.

“To be recommended so highly by parents, guardians and relatives of children in our care makes us very proud.”
