Kids putting the art in craft

- STUART GREER

CREATIVE children have been spending their summer holidays making stunning artwork.

Art Attack is run at Elim Christian Life Centre Church on Parsonage Street.

It is a community art project put on for the children during the holidays and is run by Maggie Falconer.

Among those who have been showing off their creativity are Isabelle Anne De Botte, Elizabeth Jepson, Andrea Martin, Rosalyn Fancy and Tayla Beth Hadfield.

Maggie said: “So far we have done lots of painting – taking on creatures under the sea – we have created bags, pencil cases and mobile phone socks, glued with tissue and paper, and done lots of loom banding.”

With only a few weeks left of the holidays Maggie is now calling for more children to come and try the classes. She said: “All school age children welcome to come and get nice and messy with us at Art Attack. We also have a fairy house that needs some small people to come and decorate it for us.”
