QUEENS kept the pres­sure on lead­ers High Lane in the East Cheshire Sun­day Foot­ball League, win­ning 4-2 at North West Fire.

Di­vi­sion Two lead­ers Nav­i­ga­tion won the game of the day, 8-5 at West­lands. There were marginally fewer goals in Dol­phin Inn’s win over High Lane seconds, 7-3 the fi­nal score.

Mean­while bot­tom side Poyn­ton Le­gion suf­fered a 2-1 loss to Marple Villa.

In Di­vi­sion Three David Lewis beat Lord By­ron 3-0 and Bri­tan­nia were 3-1 vic­tors at D&C Ath­letic but Rich­mond Rovers were on the wrong side of an 8-2 score­line at Stock­port Vik­ings Chief­tains.

In Di­vi­sion Four Tyther­ing­ton Ju­niors won 7-2 at AFC Stock­port thirds, their first vic­tory of the sea­son

In the Leek and Dis­trict SFL, there were de­feats for our lo­cal teams as Golden Lion suf­fered their first de­feat of the sea­son.

They went down 4-2 at Water­houses and win­less Rail­way View were beaten 3-1 at home by league lead­ers El­mos Celtic.
