Macclesfield forum to hold its first AGM
MAKE It Macclesfield is to hold its first Annual General Meeting.
Initially established as the Macclesfield Economic Forum to engage local businesses in addressing the challenges faced by the town, MIM became a Community Interest Company in June 2013 and now acts as a hub to energise and support community initiatives and promote Macclesfield.
Its well-attended series of breakfast meetings gives participants the opportunity to air their views and to participate in the debate about business in the town.
Local businesses, charities and social enterprises also have an opportunity to promote activities.
At the AGM the Board will review the activities of the company and present accounts for the last financial year.
MIM membership is open to anyone with an interest in the town of Macclesfield and is free.
Make it Macclesfield chairwoman Clare Hayward said: “MIM currently has around 50 members and we’re keen to increase that number.
“We are also looking for people to join the board to help in the delivery of some exciting new projects.”
Anyone can attend, although only members will be able to cast a vote.
Membership forms will be available and can also be downloaded from www.makeitmacclesfield. co.uk.
