IN the East Cheshire Di­vi­sion One Cup Poyn­ton FC were 2-1 win­ners in their match at North West Fire.

Josh Stafford and Matt Tat­tler grabbed the goals in their 2-1 win.

But in the Cheshire Sun­day Cup Poyn­ton Work­men’s Club were on the wrong end of a 4-0 re­sult in their clash at Wood­church United.

In the Di­vi­sion Two Cup Stu­art Ainsworth hit the only goal of Dol­phin’s game at High Lane to give them the vic­tory.

The Di­vi­sion Three Cup pro­duced a derby that saw Rich­mond Rovers de­feated by vis­i­tors Lord By­ron 2-1.

And there was ex­tra- time dis­ap­point­ment for Tyther­ing­ton Ju­niors as they hosted Chea­dle & Gat­ley Ath­letic.

After a 90-minute stale­mate the vis­i­tors grabbed the only goal of the tie in the added-on pe­riod to progress.

Vic­tory of the day goes to Bro­ken Cross Ath­letic, who put seven past Stock­port Vik­ings War­riors with­out re­ply.

Bro­ken Cross now sit third in the Di­vi­sion Four ta­ble, just a point be­hind lead­ers AFC Duke.

Leek League lead­ers Golden Lion tasted de­feat in the Sub­sidiary Cup.

Lion still top the ta­ble but suf­fered a sur­prise 4-3 loss at Water­houses.
