Stud farm bags award
A STATE of the art stud farm has been voted Cheshire’s Equine Establishment of the Year.
LG Sporthorses, which operates on 70 acres at Lower Gadhole Farm in Mottram St Andrew, received the prestigious accolade at the Cheshire County Farm awards dinner in Nantwich.
Judges said LG Sporthorses ‘stood out for their business planning in the context of their desire to be at the forefront of the equine breeding industry’.
Over the past 12 years, husband and wife team Rebecca and Mike Battersby have built an international reputation for LG Sporthorses as a breeder and trainer of high quality young performance horses.
Rebecca said: “We are thrilled to receive this award and for our work to be recognised in this way.”
