●● A LUXURY kitchen designer has bagged a prestigious award.

Hart-Woods Kitchens, based in Prestbury Village, won ‘Best Kitchen Designer’ at the Northern Design Awards.

Jon Hart-Woods, managing director and head designer for Hart-Woods Kitchens, said: “We are absolutely thrilled and extremely humbled by this achievement, as a small independent company in Prestbury Village being up against much larger more well known companies, we were ecstatic to be picked by the panel of esteemed judges that included Linda Barker and Wayne Hemingway.

“The category was described as ‘open to kitchen retailers in the North. Often referred to as ‘the heart of the home’, the addition of a perfect kitchen defines a great many houses. This award recognises the achievements of those retailers who exceed our expectations in terms of design, delivery and service,’ so we’re well pleased to win.

The news comes as Hart-woods also announced that it is set to expand.

Jon continued: “After a successful year with our expanded kitchen showroom in Prestbury, we are now opening a new showroom in February in Lyme Green Business Park for Bedroom and Dressing room furniture.

“Our key brand is Novamobili – which, while very modern, is steeped in Italian design history and really is a luxury product on par with our Italian kitchens.

“We also will be displaying two British furniture ranges, one being bespoke furniture solutions to fit any space and the other being a popular competitive Bedroom furniture supplier from the North.

“We are very excited about opening this showroom and broadening our business.”
