●» MUSICIANS will perform at an event to raise money for a babies charity.

The event at Sutton Scout Hall is being organised by Sam Herring, whose husband Mike grew up in the village. Sam is taking part in running challenges for Bliss, a charity which helps premature babies and their families. She chose the charity after her son Isaac was born early.

The Big Bliss Bash will feature The Wooden Robots, Borowski, Hammill and Moylan, The Infamous Booze Brothers and others.

The trust on Hollin Lane which supports adults with learning disabiliti­es is looking for elite athletes and first time runners.

Sue Heaven, head of fundraisin­g, said: “We are really excited to have a team running for the Rossendale Trust raising money for our Oakwood horticultu­re developmen­t. Every penny raised makes a difference.”

There is an Moorland Adventure Easter Kids Activity Club from Tuesday, April 7 to Friday, April 10, with a chance to experience different countrysid­e activities each day.

The club is suitable for ages eight to 16. Booking is essential. The cost is £25 per day or all four days for £80.Activities run from 9am to 4pm, meeting at Tegg’s Nose Country Park Visitor Centre, Buxton Old Road.
