Poynton High School’s year seven team were victors in the RFU Emerging Schools Festival.

In the second group game, Poynton beat Holmes Chapel with the five tries coming from Rory Kinrade (2), Sid Williamson (2) and Alex Martin.

They then beat Leftwich 3-0 in the third group game with Sid Williamson scoring two tries and Rory Kinrade scoring the other.

Poynton then faced second-placed Woodchurch in the final which they won 3-0.
